Anchor AI vs. Intercom Fin
Anchor AI and Fin both answer customers from your own support content and hand the rest to a human. Fin is Intercom’s AI agent, and since 10 September 2026 a Salesforce company. It is sold per outcome: $0.99 each time it resolves a conversation, across chat, email, voice and messaging. Anchor AI is one grounded agent sold per seat, with AI answering included, on a website widget and a hosted chat page, billed in Ghanaian cedi.
Teams running Intercom, Salesforce or another helpdesk across many channels should look at Fin first. A small team that wants a support agent for its website, on a bill it can work out before the month starts, should start with Anchor AI.

A bill you can read before the month starts
Seats times plan. A thread costs 10 credits whether it took two messages or twenty, and whether or not it resolved. There is no outcome counter to check against Fin's definition of resolved.
Nothing charged for the handoff
Anchor answers only from the content you connect. When the answer isn't there, it says so and hands the conversation to your team with the transcript attached, at no extra cost. At Fin, a handoff reached through a configured Procedure is a billable outcome.
Billing in cedi
Plans are priced and charged in GHS. There is no US-dollar card to keep valid, and the renewal is the number the plan page showed.
The inbox is in the seat
A Starter seat is GHS 250 with the AI and the inbox in it. Fin on Intercom means $0.99 an outcome plus $29 or more per helpdesk seat. Standalone, it means a 50-outcome monthly floor.

Common questions
Is Anchor AI an alternative to Intercom Fin?
For AI-answered support on a website, yes. Both answer customers from your own content and hand off to a human when they can't. They differ in shape and in billing: Fin is a per-outcome agent that runs across chat, email, voice and messaging inside Intercom or another helpdesk. Anchor AI is a per-seat agent with its own inbox and AI answering included, for a website chat widget and a hosted chat page.
Is Fin still part of Intercom?
Fin is the company formerly called Intercom. It renamed itself after its AI agent, and Salesforce completed its acquisition of Fin on 10 September 2026. Intercom continues as the name of the helpdesk product, and Fin also runs on Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, Gorgias and other helpdesks. As of 27 September 2026 the published price is unchanged at $0.99 per outcome.
How does Fin's per-outcome pricing compare with Anchor AI's credits?
Fin charges $0.99 each time a conversation ends in an outcome (a resolution, a Procedure handoff, a disqualification or a self-serve routing), at most once per conversation, with a 50-outcome monthly minimum when used standalone. Anchor AI charges 10 credits for a 24-hour thread whether or not it resolves. A Starter seat carries 500 credits, about 50 conversations, for GHS 250 a month, and every seat's bundle feeds one shared pool.
Does either charge for handing a conversation to a human?
Anchor AI does not. The thread costs 10 credits, and the handoff, with the transcript attached, is part of it. Fin bills a handoff only when a Procedure you configured ends in one. Escalations triggered by its default rules are not charged.
Which channels does each one support?
Fin works across chat, email, voice, WhatsApp, SMS, Slack and social channels. Anchor AI today runs on a website chat widget added with one script tag, and on a hosted chat page you can link from anywhere.
